This two-way interaction uses a secure audiovisual platform so patients can consult with their provider from the comfort of their home. Preparing for your Telehealth visit
To see if your device is compatible with our Internet-based virtual platform, test it here. Testing in advance will ensure that your device is properly enabled so you can fully benefit from the visit.
What happens on the day of your Telehealth visit?
A day or two before your appointment, a Medical Assistant will call you to update your records prior to the appointment.
On the day of your Telehealth Appointment, please be available 15 minutes prior to your appointment time. You will receive a text message or email from your GI Associates provider inviting you to the call.

The provider will see you enter the waiting room and will start the Telehealth visit.
A Clinical Team member will call you after your appointment to complete arrangements and scheduling for any tests, imaging studies or procedures recommended during your appointment.
Most insurances cover Telehealth visits as part of the COVID-19 public health emergency. Contact your insurer with specific questions about your plan. Our Patient Benefit Specialists are also happy to assist with any questions you may have.
